There are many facts and figures in this guide. We suggest the following steps to help you identify the information that is most pertinent to you.

  1. Determine who is your state senator and representative.

Go to www.freepac.com, click on Report Card, click on "Who is my ..."

  2. Find your legislators' ratings.

These ratings reflect how conservative your legislators' voted during the 2001 legislative session. (See votes for state senators and state representatives.)

  3. Look for your legislators' overall ranking.

This ranking gives a broad picture of how your legislator ranks among others in the legislature. (See rankings for state senators and state representatives.)

  4. Look for how your legislators' voted on selected issues.

These specific votes cover the four basic categories of Free Enterprise and Taxes, Education, Limited Government, and Traditional Values. (See state senators and state representatives.)

  5. Make your conclusions on how well you feel that you were represented.

Also, take action on your observations. Two suggested actions are writing your legislator and/or supporting a more conservative candidate in the upcoming elections.
