Research Guidelines - Record Vote Selection Process
- Comprehensive: Unlike some voting records that judge only a handful of votes, we review every recorded vote in both the Senate and House for its conservative or liberal implication. This thorough analysis gives concerned citizens a report that most accurately reflects their legislators' true philosophical perspective and commitment to conservative principles.
- Objective Panel: Record votes are chosen "blindly" without looking at any particular legislator's votes by a panel consisting of four former conservative state legislators - Jim Horn, Dr. L.B. Kubiak, Glenn Repp, M.A. Taylor, our researcher Cathie Adams, and our President Richard Ford.
- Absences: If a legislator was absent, whether excused or unexcused, they received a zero for that vote. Exception was given for extended medically related absences, military duty, and for conference committee excused absences.
